Terms of service

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service apply when you access the Built Faceless website or purchase a product from us.

Built Faceless is operated by Built Faceless LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16491867, with its registered office at 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE.

Contact: theboss@builtfaceless.co.uk

By placing an order, you agree to these Terms together with any licence or Product Permission Sheet supplied with the product.

1. Our products

Built Faceless sells digital products designed to be downloaded, accessed, edited, customised, branded and, where permitted by the applicable licence, resold.

Unless a product listing specifically states otherwise, no physical product will be supplied.

Each product page provides information about the product, including its contents, format, compatibility and any relevant editing requirements. Please review this information before purchasing.

2. Orders and payment

The price displayed at checkout is the amount payable for your order, subject to any clearly stated promotion or discount.

You are responsible for checking your order before completing payment.

An order is accepted once payment has been successfully processed and confirmation of the purchase has been provided.

We may cancel or refund an order where reasonably necessary because of an obvious pricing or technical error, suspected fraud, payment issues or another legitimate reason.

3. Digital delivery

Products are supplied digitally and are normally made available shortly after successful payment.

Delivery may be provided through a download link, customer-access page, email, file-delivery service or another method identified on the relevant product page.

You are responsible for supplying a valid email address and for keeping access links and purchase information secure.

If you have paid for a product but cannot access it, contact us at theboss@builtfaceless.co.uk or through our Contact page so that we can investigate.

4. Cancellation of digital-content orders

Consumers normally have a 14-day cancellation period for distance contracts. Different rules apply where digital content is supplied immediately.

Where you request immediate access to digital content before the cancellation period has expired, we will obtain your express agreement to immediate supply and your acknowledgement that you will lose your statutory right to cancel once supply begins.

If those requirements are not properly followed, the customer retains their cancellation right.

Our separate Return and Refund Policy provides further information.

Nothing in these Terms removes any statutory right that cannot legally be excluded.

5. Product quality and statutory rights

Digital content must meet applicable legal standards, including being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for any particular purpose made known where the law requires this.

Where digital content does not conform to the contract, consumers may have statutory remedies including repair or replacement and, in certain circumstances, a price reduction or refund.

These rights are separate from our commercial refund policy and are not restricted by these Terms.

6. Standard Resell Rights

Unless the product or its Product Permission Sheet expressly states otherwise, Built Faceless products supplied for resale are provided with Standard Resell Rights.

Under Standard Resell Rights you may:

  • edit and customise the product
  • add your own branding, logo, colours, fonts, text and imagery
  • sell unlimited finished copies to your own customers
  • choose your own selling price
  • keep the revenue generated from your own sales
  • sell through your own website or other permitted selling platforms

Standard Resell Rights do not allow you to:

  • sell, transfer or give away the Built Faceless licence itself
  • give your customers resale rights
  • advertise a standard product as including Master Resell Rights
  • claim ownership of the Built Faceless brand, name or intellectual property
  • use the product contrary to any product-specific restriction supplied with it

Your customer receives the finished product you sell to them. They do not automatically receive your Built Faceless resale licence.

7. Master Resell Rights

Some products may specifically be supplied with Master Resell Rights (MRR).

MRR products can include additional permission to resell the product with resale rights.

The exact permissions attached to an MRR product will be stated on that product's Product Permission Sheet.

Do not assume that resale rights can be passed indefinitely from one purchaser to another unless the Product Permission Sheet expressly allows this.

8. Product Permission Sheets

Some products have specific requirements concerning editable files, source files, distribution or resale.

Where supplied, the Product Permission Sheet forms part of your licence for that product.

If a Product Permission Sheet expressly grants a permission that differs from the Standard Resell Rights described above, the product-specific permission applies to that product.

9. Intellectual property

Purchasing a product grants you the licence rights applicable to that product. It does not transfer ownership of Built Faceless itself or of intellectual property that has not expressly been licensed to you.

The Built Faceless name, branding, website design, original licence documentation and other proprietary material remain protected by applicable intellectual-property rights.

You must not copy, distribute, sell or claim ownership of Built Faceless branding, licence documentation or website material except where we have expressly permitted you to do so.

10. Your responsibilities when reselling

If you resell a Built Faceless product, you are responsible for your own business and how you market and sell the finished product.

This includes responsibility for:

  • ensuring your use complies with the supplied licence
  • checking the rules of any marketplace or selling platform you use
  • making any disclosures required by your own customers
  • setting your own prices
  • dealing with your own customers
  • complying with applicable tax, consumer and business laws relevant to your own sales

Built Faceless does not guarantee approval by Etsy, Shopify, Gumroad, Amazon or any other third-party platform.

11. No earnings guarantee

Built Faceless products are tools and ready-made digital assets.

We do not guarantee that purchasing, customising or reselling a product will generate any particular number of sales, amount of revenue, profit or other business result.

Your results depend on factors outside our control, including your pricing, marketing, audience, offer and business decisions.

12. Third-party platforms and services

Some products may use or be compatible with third-party services such as Canva, Shopify or external file-delivery platforms.

Those services are operated independently of Built Faceless and may change their features, availability, terms or pricing.

Where a particular third-party service is required to use or edit a product, this should be identified in the relevant product information.

You are responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party service you choose to use.

13. Product demos

Some products may include a live demonstration or preview.

Demos are provided to help you understand and assess a product before purchasing.

A demo may differ in branding, example content or imagery from the files supplied, but the purchased product must still correspond with its description.

Demo access is not guaranteed to remain permanently available unless expressly stated otherwise.

14. Prohibited use

You must not use Built Faceless, our website or our products:

  • for unlawful or fraudulent activity
  • to infringe another person's rights
  • in breach of the applicable product licence
  • to misrepresent the rights supplied with a product
  • to distribute our proprietary material without permission
  • to interfere with the security or operation of the website
  • to falsely represent yourself as Built Faceless

We may take reasonable steps to protect our rights where these Terms or a product licence are breached.

15. Product information and availability

We take reasonable care to ensure product descriptions, prices and other information are accurate.

If an obvious error occurs, we may correct it.

We may update, improve or discontinue products offered for future sale.

Changes made after an order will not retrospectively remove rights already granted to you through a completed purchase unless required by law.

16. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful, including applicable statutory consumer rights.

To the extent permitted by law, Built Faceless is not responsible for losses caused by:

  • misuse of a product
  • breach of its licence
  • decisions made by third-party marketplaces or services
  • failure to meet third-party platform requirements
  • circumstances outside our reasonable control
  • expected profits, sales or business results that were never guaranteed

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary to reflect changes to our website, products, licences, business practices or legal requirements.

The Terms applying to an order will normally be those in force when the order was placed, except where a change is required by law.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protections or rights available to you under applicable law.
